SERP (Search Engine Results Page)

The structured list of results a traditional search engine returns to a query.

SERP refers to the raw, ranked list of results from a search engine (Google, Bing, Brave, etc.) - titles, snippets, URLs, sometimes with rich features (knowledge panels, image carousels, "people also ask"). Many older "search APIs" simply wrap and return SERP. Newer retrieval APIs reshape that output specifically for LLM consumption - structured fields, full content extraction, citation-ready format.
